 I have always looked at these long awesomely shaped Queen Palm fronds and thought they would make amazing sculptural wall pieces. They have a natural oar like quality and slight twists that give them a natural flowing effect. Their tough hardy thickness makes them especially durable and once treated will last a lifetime. I have finally created a pattern that I thought complemented these elegant shaped natural fronds. A handpainted Manuka pattern using the leaves, flower and buds found on our NZ manuka trees. The back is varnished for durabilty and contrast to the matt painted face. This artwork was designed to hang vertically but can also hang horizontally.
